photocopy machine, latest technology :-). i did this for an advertisement. used painter to paint the pencil drawing, then photoshop to edit colors, contrast, etc. ~4 hours. couldn't worked on the BG as much as i like, due to the deadline, but happy with the visualisation of the idea overall.
